Braun Industries is excited to announce we have a new ambulance dealer for Alabama and Mississippi. Emergency Equipment Professionals will be representing our brand regarding new ambulance sales for these states. The dealership is also a Braun Authorized Service Center for all of your used Braun ambulance needs and maintenance.

Emergency Equipment Professionals was established in 2011 when an existing company, Pro-Equipment, LLC, was divided among partners. The new business, EEP, is family-owned and operated by husband and wife team, Jeff and Mary Kuntz. Together, they are focused on serving customer needs in Alabama and Mississippi, offering an exceptional level of dedication and customer service to each project they undertake.

Owner, Jeff Kuntz, has extensive experience in the Fire & EMS Industry. He has served personally as a first responder since 1980. In that time, he has been a volunteer firefighter, career firefighter and EMT. He continues to volunteer as a firefighter today. In the early 1990s, Jeff became involved with purchasing apparatus. He enjoyed the process so much, he decided to turn it into a career and started selling units as a sales rep for a company in 1992. In 2000, he helped start up Pro-Fire Equipment.

Aside from carrying the complete lineup of Braun ambulances, Emergency Equipment Professionals is an authorized dealer for Pierce fire apparatus and Scott Safety products, among other brands. When considering to take on a new line for ambulances, Jeff had the following to say:

“Braun seemed to be very customer focused and committed to building the best product. Also, the construction methods that Braun uses to build its ambulances are similar to what we are familiar with through Pierce. We pride ourselves on selling quality products. After looking at the Braun product line and visiting the manufacturing facility, we decided that Braun would be a good fit for our company. They allow us to have continuity in our sales efforts by offering the best in the market. The process to come onboard has been excellent. Once again, it is very evident that quality and customers drive what Braun does. We look forward to working with them and growing together in our territory.”

The dealership is excited to offer a high quality, custom ambulance with good delivery to their customers that see value in handcraftsmanship and long life. They  believe that the Chief XL and Liberty models will be the best received in their market; they are good, solid units that feature countless customization options. Like us, they understand that many customers don’t look at simply the upfront cost of an ambulance, but seek out a unit that has a lower cost of ownership over the entire life of the vehicle.

Emergency Equipment Professionals provides in-shop maintenance, as well as a full mobile service. This will allow them to assist customers in keeping their Braun ambulance up and running for years to come. They also promote and excel in preventative maintenance, as a way to head off issues before they occur and keep their customers 100% satisfied with their apparatus investment.

If you are in Alabama or Mississippi and are considering a new ambulance, please contact EEP Apparatus Sales Manager, Brian Lee at blee@eeproinc.com. You can also reach the dealership at (662) 280-4729, stop by 2310 Nail Rd. in Horn Lake, MS, or visit them online at http://www.eeprofs.com/. They attend several tradeshows throughout the year, including the upcoming 2013 Fire Chief’s Executive Development Conference of Alabama February 6th and 7th, and the Mississippi and Alabama EMS Conferences. These shows are a great opportunity to speak with them in person, if you are not close to their facility.

Congratulations & welcome aboard Emergency Equipment Professionals! We are delighted to have you as our latest additions to the Braun family.

Signature Series Receives 2012 EMS World Innovation Award 21
Jan

Kim Braun and Scott Braun with Signature Series Awards

At Braun, we take great pride in the ambulances we build.  Behind every unit delivered is a strong dedication to safety, quality and innovation from each and every individual at Braun Industries. When we are recognized for our commitment to building the best ambulances on the road, we are more than honored. We couldn’t be happier to share the news that our Phil Braun Signature Series had one heck of a great year – winning an EMS Today 2012 Hot Product distinction … and now a 2012 EMS World Innovation Award.

2012 EMS World Innovation Award

Sponsored by EMS World Magazine, the 2012 Top Innovation Awards recognize the industry’s most innovative products of the year. The award program focuses on companies exhibiting at the EMS World Expo and highlights products and technologies that increase the safety of EMS professionals and help enhance the delivery of emergency medical care.

This year, the winners were chosen by industry expert and EMS World Magazine Editorial Advisory Board Member, Mike Smith, BS, MICP while on display October 29 – November 2, 2012 in New Orleans, LA. The January 2013 issue of EMS World will feature a comprehensive report on all the winners. The Braun Signature Series was the only ambulance to make the 2012 list.

“We continue to be impressed by the caliber of the entries each year,” says Scott Cravens, publisher of EMS World. “Our exhibitors are creating products and technologies that are both increasing the safety of EMS professionals and transforming the delivery of emergency medical care. As the largest EMS conference and exhibition in North America, EMS World Expo remains the place to debut new innovations and showcase products to the biggest audience of EMS decision makers.”

The Signature Series ambulance is a preconfigured, pre-engineered 150″ module. It was designed as a direct result of customer requests and includes a huge list of popular features and design elements Braun is known for. The most appealing part of this emergency vehicle is the economical price tag. It was truly designed to give our customers the best of Braun at a price they can afford, and we are so excited to see that the EMS marketplace is touting it as one of the best models out there!

Braun Employees Hold Superstorm Sandy Fundraiser 6
Dec

The culture at Braun Industries is a unique one. Spend any time at our facility and you will see a caring staff of dedicated employees that take pride in what they do. That caring nature extends far beyond building the Braun name and helping their local community. They recently stepped up to aid survivors of Superstorm Sandy.

Headed by Penny Richardson and Troy Miller, Braun Industries held an internal fundraiser last month for Hurricane Sandy victims. Lasting a week, employees pitched in to raise $400 in cash, and collected blankets and clothing to donate as well. The $400 was used to purchase a pallet of food supplies.

Donations Collected for SuperStorm Sandy Victims

Braun is teaming up with AmeriCorps to help distribute these donations in Nassau County, New York. Nassau County includes Long Island, an area deeply affected by the hurricane. One of Braun Industries long standing customers, Nassau County Police Department, put Braun in touch with AmeriCorps.

Established in 1994 under The Corporation for National and Community Service, the AmeriCorps programs were designed to create service opportunities for Americans at the local, state and national level. The Corporation for National and Community Service is partnering with FEMA and The National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster to provide coordinated multi-agency response efforts to those affected by Superstorm Sandy.

Through the generosity of Conway, Braun shipped out the donations free of charge on November 29th. They will be dispersed as needed by volunteers on the ground throughout Nassau County.

We are so appreciative and proud of our employees, and everyone else who stepped up to provide aid during this disaster. Working with first response organizations around the country, we are always amazed to see what an impact you make and just how far above and beyond you go when you’re help is needed most. Thank you.
