Summary of Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the design of HVAC systems that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements based upon all relevant information including the geographic location of that customer. Develop processes for system installation including work instructions. Train employees on installation and troubleshooting.

Summary of Activities

Responsibilities Activities
Design • Research and design HVAC system to meet customer and regulatory requirements for the module including chassis interface as necessary. • Consult on HVAC system and equipment design for a wide range of projects working with design engineers, project managers, dealers, customers and/or product development engineers. • Design testing procedures and control equipment as needed
Communication • Communicate directly with customers to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications and operational environment • Communicate with inter company engineering staff to assure HVAC system designs that meet customer expectations • Train employees on system installation and troubleshooting
Operations • Develop installation process and associated work instructions for designed HVAC systems • Analyze HVAC systems and associated equipment when necessary to solve functionality problems/issues optimizing system performance
Leadership • Serve as project leader when required on HVAC system design efforts

Technical Skills/Competencies (Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 3 to 5 years of HVAC related work experience
  • Experience with software design systems, Solidworks preferred
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Project management skills

  • Occasionally required to crouch and kneel, must be able to transport up to 15 pounds of work-related materials
