Summary of Responsibilities

Perform material handling duties including forklift operation, trash and scrap removal, recycling removal, inventory pick & place assistance, general cleaning of production area aisles and walls. Additional duties include backup custodial duties including; restroom and office cleaning; sanitation control; periodic checks for safety hazards.

Summary of Activities

Responsibilities Activities
Cardboard compaction and removal
Trash, Scrap and Recycling removal
Outside skid and area management
General cleaning of all restrooms to include: mopping, dusting, sanitation, trash removal, stock supplies and window cleaning as and when needed
General cleaning of production area to include: sweeping and dusting
General cleaning of all office areas including: Sweeping, dusting and trash removal
Responsible for sanitation control
Use of cleaning products and equipment in a safe manner
Report safety hazards to coordinator
Non-production painting as needed

Technical Skills/Competencies (Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to achieve Braun certification for a forklift license
  • Valid driver’s license
  • One year custodial/janitorial experience preferred

Personality Traits / Core Skills

  • Capable of working with and around janitorial supplies as well as other cleaning products

  • Maintain any required licensures and/or certifications
  • Operate all job-related equipment or machines at acceptable productivity and quality levels
  • Successfully pass a post offer drug test, as well as random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol test thereafter
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance, regularly require to walk, talk and hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, crouch and kneel; frequently required to use hand to finger dexterity in order to handle objects, tools, and/or controls; occasionally required to stoop or crawl
