Braun Ambulances will be showcasing Stealth Power’s Idle Reduction system at EMS World 2019 October 14-18, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Stealth Power system is installed on Duke Life Flight’s Type I ambulance. The system provides dependable power for the ambulance.

Stealth Power provides a mobile energy system to power ambulances reliably, ensuring patient and crew comfort and safety at all times. The system operates all auxiliary electrical loads, including beacon lights, radios, refrigerators, computers, and more. Optionally, the system can include operation of hydraulics and HVAC systems. Stealth Power’s Idle Reduction system features a push-button jump-start, ensuring that drivers and crew are never stranded by a dead battery, especially when every second counts. The system is beneficial because it reduces fuel usage, engine hours, and maintenance.

Braun Ambulances has teamed up with Stealth Power to make the industry-leaving idle reduction system available as an option on all Braun custom ambulances. “Braun is proud to partner with Stealth Power,” says Braun Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Chad Brown. “When there’s room for improvement on an ambulance such as Duke Life Flight’s, which is highly utilized, we’re glad to be able to offer a product that is highly beneficially to the overall status of the unit.”

Travis Loy, Duke Life Flight’s Emergency Services Fleet Coordinator, is also excited about Stealth Power and the benefits it offers. “Our decision to utilize Stealth Power in lieu of a diesel generator was easy. First, we can reduce our carbon footprint by not producing unnecessary diesel exhaust into the atmosphere while providing adequate energy to the core of our patient centered care. Second, Stealth Power is adequate enough to support our mission in the event of ambulance breakdown or other event where our ambulance must be powered down,” Loy says.

Those attending EMS World will be able to get a first-hand look at the Stealth Power system and discuss the features and benefits with members of Braun’s and Stealth Power’s teams. Duke Life Flight’s ambulance will be on display in Braun’s booth, #1018. Exhibit hall hours are Wednesday, October 16 from 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Thursday, October 17 from 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM, and Friday, October 18 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
