Palatine Fire Department
The Village of Palatine is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. The Palatine Fire Department annually responds to over 8,000 requests for Fire and EMS (Emergency Medical Service) calls. Their department protects over 68,000 residents within a 14 square mile area. They also participate in Automatic Aid Agreements with five of their neighboring communities, including Arlington Heights, Rolling Meadows, Palatine Rural, Long Grove and Lake Zurich. These agreements provide closest fire station services as well as improved resource availability when multiple call situations occur. The Palatine Fire Department is also a fully active member of MABAS (the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System), Division One.
