Just in time for warmer weather, Braun Ambulances has introduced a new Premium HVAC offering designed to keep crews and patients cool in hot weather climates.
May 22, 2025 – Van Wert, Ohio: When temperatures rise, keeping patients and Fire/EMS crews comfortable isn’t just a convenience; it’s critical care. With summer around the corner, Braun Ambulances is excited to introduce a new Premium HVAC solution designed to deliver powerful climate control in the most demanding environments. With advanced features and performance-driven design, this system is built to help Fire/EMS teams stay cool and focused, especially when lives depend on it.
Developed for departments operating in extreme heat, Braun’s new High Performance HVAC package includes an independent compressor, auxiliary condenser, large-footprint evaporator, and shoreline-compatible auxiliary evaporator, offering more than 45,000 (12V) BTU/24,000 BTU (110V) of cooling power. This high-capacity system quickly lowers module temperatures and maintains a consistent, comfortable climate for patients and professionals.
“A well-regulated environment supports better outcomes for patients while improving working conditions for first responders during intense moments,” said Kris Turner, U.S. Channel Development Director. “Our engineering team has created HVAC systems that exceed expectations, offering exceptional cooling performance, and dependability—perfect for high heat environments and extreme temperatures.”
High Performance HVAC Package Features:
We’ve got you covered! From a Basic HVAC package to the new High Performance package, Braun’s customizable craftsmanship empowers departments to choose the best HVAC solution to suit their needs. Every option is supported by Braun’s industry-leading insulation — a standard Polyurethane Spray Foam applied to the ceiling, walls, exterior doors, and vehicle underside. Customers can upgrade to a Thermal Barrier Coating for added heat resistance, using Temp-Coat® liquid ceramic insulation applied to the module roof interior to minimize heat transfer from the sun.
The insulation system enhances HVAC efficiency by reducing external heat intrusion and helping retain desired internal temperatures. Whether navigating busy summer shifts or working in consistently high temperatures, Braun’s HVAC systems are engineered for performance and dependability.
