NAEMT-Award-Winner

Last week, Braun representatives had the pleasure of attending EMS World Expo 2013. It is a special event for us as a manufacturer. There, we are honored to sponsor the NAEMT EMT of the Year Award, which is presented during the opening ceremonies. This year, the award was given to Paul Schueth, Adv EMT, from Winner, South Dakota.

Chad Brown was on hand to present the award to Paul. Paul is a deserving individual, currently serving as an Advanced EMT with Tripp County Ambulance. He has been giving back to his community as volunteer EMT for over 35 years.  At the beginning of his EMS career, he served as the unofficial ambulance director with several other volunteers. He was later elected to serve as the official director, a position he continues to hold and fulfill with pride, honor, and compassion.

NAEMT-Award-Winner-2

Nominated by Katheryn Benton, a state training officer in Chamberlain, South Dakota, she had the following to say about this year’s winner:

Paul is always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty and takes great pride in his profession. He has given continuous and selfless service to the citizens of Tripp County in their time of need,”

He has an excellent work attitude, which radiates to fellow employees and colleagues, and is an asset to his team, county and the community in which he proudly serves. His desire to serve without an expectation of honors or recognition clearly demonstrates his unselfish commitment to community. Paul is truly deserving of this award.

Throughout his time with Tripp County, Paul has been actively involved in fundraising to secure technological upgrades for the ambulance service. He has also planned countless training workshops and regularly partners with local health care agencies to ensure continuity in patient care. Often encountering some of the worst weather situations, such as blizzards and thunderstorms, Paul is known for his resolute and careful work on the job.

A sincere CONGRATULTIONS to Paul Schueth on this award; what an achievement! Thank you for your service.
