Summary of Responsibilities
Conceptualize, design and engineer 12v DC and 125v AC based electrical systems for use in mobile applications. Develop comprehensive multiplexed electrical systems through the utilization of computer programming and electrical schematic drafting software. Properly integrate electrical systems across multiple chassis platforms. Design new electrical harnesses for manufacturability, installation, and cost objectives. Research and develop new technologies and systems to provide reliable and innovative solutions in a mobile application. Develop and lead the design and installation of complex mobile communication systems including telemetry, GPS, cellular data modems, UHF and VHF radio systems. Review methods, document processes, develop prints and update changes for use by production and customer service personnel for proper installation and vehicle maintenance. Review vehicle work orders, create and generate all updated electrical schematic packages and create bill of materials necessary for manufacturing to the customer’s specifications in a timely manner. Provide training to production personnel, service technicians and customers both on and off-site.

Design multiplexed electrical systems | Read and interpret vehicle sales order to translate into multiplex software configuration. |
Research and design for new chassis model year changes and proper module to chassis electrical integration | Gather technical data from OEM chassis manufacturers to specify proper integration of product into truck design |
Provide training to alternate personnel on program downloads to nodes and vistas | Ad hoc training to manufacturing electrical analysts. |
Interact with and provide multiple chassis manufactures with the needs and recommendations of chassis electrical systems incorporation | Find solutions for customer requests of unique/new features that interact with chassis electrical systems |
Provide on the off-site hands-n training in a class atmosphere on correct electrical applications, processes and procedures | Support yearly dealer training hosted by Customer Care Organization |
Participate or lead product improvement teams | Support or lead various continuous improvement projects |
Assist production personnel with troubleshooting issues | Utilize troubleshooting techniques to root cause and correct issues. |
Develop operator manuals and training guides | Customer Care Organization as lead, support creation of documentation as needed. |
Provide technical support and engineering for services and warranty needs | Provide design engineering support for Customer Care work orders or field questions. |
