Summary of Responsibilities

The Manager, Master Data Management (MDM) is responsible for defining, implementing, and governing the enterprise data framework across Pulse Vehicles. The role ensures data consistency, quality, and standardization to enable seamless integration with JBPCO standard systems (e.g., ERP, finance, engineering, supply chain platforms).

This leader will establish data governance, ownership, and stewardship models while driving alignment across business units and IT teams.

Summary of Activities

Responsibilities Activities
MDM Strategy & Governance • Define and implement the MDM strategy aligned to JBPCO standards • Establish data governance framework (policies, roles, stewardship) • Define data domains ownership (customer, vendor, product, assets, etc.) • Lead creation of data standards, naming conventions, and taxonomies
Data Integration & Transformation • Enable data harmonization across multiple legacy systems • Support ERP and enterprise platforms integration (e.g., JDE migration) • Ensure consistent master data structure across all systems
Data Quality & Lifecycle Management • Define KPIs and controls for data quality (accuracy, completeness, timeliness) • Implement data cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes • Deploy monitoring dashboards and governance workflows
Stakeholder Engagement • Act as bridge between IT and business units • Lead cross-functional workshops across Pulse sites • Align stakeholders on common data definitions and governance rules
Tools & Architecture • Evaluate and implement MDM tools/platforms • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity policies • Work closely with security and compliance teams (aligned with JBPCO policies on governance, access, and auditability)
Change Management • Drive cultural transformation toward data ownership and accountability • Develop training materials and governance adoption plans

Technical Skills/Competencies (Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience)

• 7–10+ years in:
o Data management / governance / MDM
o ERP or enterprise systems integration

Experience in multi-entity / multi-site environments (manufacturing preferable)

Scope
• Enterprise-wide role across Pulse Vehicles
• Multi-site responsibility (travel required across 4 primary locations)
• Key enabler for JBPCO systems integration and standardization

Personality Traits / Core Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
o MDM frameworks and tools (Informatica MDM, Reltio, Boomi, etc.)
o Data governance (DAMA-DMBOK, etc.)
o ERP systems (JDE is a strong asset)

• Understanding of:
o Data architectures (data models, APIs, integration patterns)

Leadership & Soft Skills
• Strong stakeholder management across business units
• Change leadership experience
• Ability to operate at strategic and operational levels
