We’re less than a month away from FDIC 2017 – and booth planning is in full swing! To celebrate the 90th year of the Fire Department Instructors’ Conference and our 45th anniversary, we’ve decided to bring six new ambulance units to display at the show. We will have three units inside our booth (#3546). Ford Commercial Vehicles, General Motors Fleet, and Freightliner Trucks will all have one unit inside their respective booths as well.

“Each year, we work hard preparing our booth for FDIC and selecting the customer units we will have on display. With six units heading out to Indianapolis this year, we’re poised for a busy show! Each of the vehicles selected for display have unique features and enhanced safety considerations we feel all departments should be considering for their next new ambulance purchase. As always, we’ll have a great group of individuals from Braun direct in attendance, including our entire sales support team. We will also have countless members of our national dealer network on hand to help us out. It’s a great opportunity to meet your local Braun ambulance dealer and peak inside a Braun! We’re also looking forward to celebrating our 45th anniversary with some special booth giveaways and a new selfie station created in partnership with USSC Valor Seating,” says Chad Brown, Braun Industries Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

First up, inside Braun Booth #3546 is a Type I Super Chief from Palm Beach Gardens. Mounted on an International Durastar chassis, this vehicle includes a bumper mounted Roto-Ray – a spinning warning light – as well as a Federal Q Siren. It also features a roof mounted AC system, Whelen M-series lighting, and all aluminum cabinetry. In addition, this ambulance contains CN8 compliant seating and cot retention.

The Type I Chief XL from North Collier is built on a Ford F-450 chassis with LiquidSpring CLASS suspension system. It has a front mounted condenser, Whelen M-series lighting, and curbside captain’s chair with forward work area. Like the Palm Beach Gardens unit, it too features CN8 compliant seating and cot retention.

The last unit on display in Braun Booth #3546 will be the Type I Liberty from Orange Township. This new ambulance is mounted on a Ram 550 4×4 gas crew cab with LiquidSpring CLASS suspension system.  Highly customized to meet Orange Township’s unique needs, it includes a custom gear storage compartment in the crew cab area, exterior compartmentation, and exclusive cabinet layout. In addition, it has a Buckstop front bumper, rear chevron lighting, and Stryker Power Load cot.

The Type I Liberty from Telluride will be on display in Ford Commercial Vehicles’ Booth #4238. It’s mounted on a Ford F-450 4×4 and includes 3 EVS seats which can carry 3 patients, a Luverne Chrome 2” tubular grille guard with Hella 550 fog lights, a 17” LCD screen DVD player, and workstation with curbside drawers/sharps/trash.

The Type III Chief XL from Westerville will be inside General Motors Fleet Booth #4839. Built on a Chevy G4500 gas chassis, the exterior includes the city’s exclusive graphics package, Buell air horns, a Federal EQ2B electronic siren, and rearview backup camera. It also has a Braun exclusive EZ 02 Lift oxygen compartment and lift system, as well as 3 SCBA brackets installed in exterior compartments. Inside, there’s a custom console, all-welded in interior cabinets, and VitalMax lighting.

The final unit inside the exhibition hall will be the Type III Super Chief from Nashville. Built on a Freightliner M2 extended cab chassis, the unit will be in Freightliner Trucks’ Booth #4820. It has an extended cab rollup door for gear storage, exterior electrical cabinet, and a Braun E2 02 Lift. Inside, there’s transverse backboard storage, a custom floor console, all aluminum cabinet construction, a dedicated radio/communications cabinet, and CN8 compliant V4 harnesses.
